Using a drone equipped with a thermal camera, they were able to detect a heat source in the vegetation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Drones are an asset in the field of public safety and in assisting search and rescue operations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"http:\/\/hp-drones.com\/en\">HPDRONES<\/a> <\/span><\/strong>congratulates all the corporations and forces that participated in this successful rescue mission.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">(Image copyright GNR &#8211; Guardia Nacional Republicana)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In recent years, the <strong>School of Agriculture of the Polytechnic Institute<\/strong> (Escola Superior Agr\u00e1ria do Instituto Polit\u00e9cnico) has made a significant investment to be at the forefront of technologies to support precision agriculture.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">One of the most recent investments is the MicaSense Altum and the DJI Inspire 2 which allows to strengthen crop monitoring capabilities, both in an educational context and to support research activities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The first demonstration and delivery of this equipment took place in the framework of Science and Technology Week 2021 and was supported by <strong><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"http:\/\/hp-drones.com\/en\">HPDRONES<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>[ninja_form id=4]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The National Republican Guard (GNR), through the Emergency Protection and Rescue Unit (UEPS) and the Territorial Command of Viseu, located an elderly man who was missing on 19 December.
